On Monday at the E3 video game show in Los Angeles, Ubisoft Entertainment made an announcement that a new, untitled game dediated to the late “King of Pop” Michael Jackson will be available this holiday season.
This game will be among the first to use new motion-detecting camera systems to be available later this year for Microsoft’s Xbox 360’s Kinect and Sony’s PlayStation 3’s Move.
Ubisoft’s marketing vice president, Tony Key discusses the object of the game to The Associated Press:
“Your goal is to dance like Michael…Do what the guy on the screen is doing and you’re there. It’ll score you based on the quality of your performance.”
With a new album containing new unreleased songs by the King of Pop, the game’s launch will soon follow the November release.
The game will feature songs from Jackson’s catalog, including “Billie Jean” and “Beat It,” will also be available for Nintendo’s Wii and the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable handheld consoles.
At the E3 2010 press conference, Microsoft debut a brand new, slimmer, and edgy designed black Xbox 360 which includes a 250GB hard drive and built-in Wi-Fi.
Senior Vice-President Don Mattrick revealed that the price for the newly redesigned Xbox 360 will be in stores this week for $299. Check out the spec’s and photos of the Xbox below.
Michael Jai White recently sat down with IGN Movies to talk about his infamous Mortal Kombat: Rebirth Trailer Pitch and his playing as the character “Jax”. He talks about how releastic this movie short is as compared to previous films, the purpose of the trailer, when it was made, and etc. Check out the trailer and interview below.
IGN: So the trailer is a pitch to show how Kevin would want to see a Mortal Kombat made?
MJW: Absolutely, I really co-signed that vision. Which is something for me that I really wanted to see. Something I really wanted to do with the Spawn franchise as well. I think dark is the way to go. Sometimes the powers that be, they won’t get it because they’re disconnected with the consumer. And I feel like I represent the consumer. So a lot of people worked on it and we just went over what we would like to see. Like stuff that we would like to do.
One of the most used poplar used features on Facebook.com is the “Like” button. CNET.com reports that the Like Button “tracks” and “collects” your web page visits without even logging in through Facebook’s social plug-ins. It collects the web page address and the visitor’s internet address without even clicking on the like button.
Nicole Ozer, an attorney with the ACLU of Northern California states:
“If you put a Like button on your site, you’re potentially selling out your users’ privacy even if they never press that button….It’s another example of why user control needs to be the default in Facebook.”
Earlier this week, Facebook told CNET:
“…the information about who viewed what pages with a Like button is anonymized after three months and is not shared with or sold to third parties.”
Facebook plans on updating their current privacy policy to make it clearer and simple to understand.
Afeni Shakur, 63, mother of slain rapper Tupac Shakur, will have to appear in court in May, after an arrest for possession of marijuana earlier this month.
According to AllHipHop.com, state alcohol agents arrested Shakur on Friday, April 16th and charged her with felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance and simple possession of a controlled substance.
Shakur currently resides in Lumberton, North Carolina, where she oversees the estate of Tupac Shakur.
Mrs. Shakur was released on $10,000 bond and is due in court in Robeson County District Court on May 10th.
I’m just gonna cut to the chase. Bush and Clinton are in Haiti, Bush shakes the hand of a Haitian survivor and blatantly wipes his hand on Clinton’s shirt. There are not enough words for me to describe the sheer ignorance of Bush’s actions in this video. All I have to say is – and I never thought I’d be saying this, but – Kanye was right.
As if we already didn’t know that Matthew Knowles is the father of baby Nixon Knowles, DNA results have made the confirmation. Knowles already has to pay mistress Alexsandra Wright $8,200 a month for the paternity suit brought against him, now he will be ordered to pay child support. Now that it’s confirmed that he is the father, both Knowles and Wright families can put their differences aside and show this child some love without the drama. I hope that Matthew is as active in this child’s life as he has been in Beyonce’s and Solange’s lives.

In case you hadn’t noticed, “We Are the World 25 for Haiti” features the who’s who on the pop and hip hop scene along with some people who had no business being there (I’m talking about you Vince Vaugh, Jeff Bridges and Fonzworth Bentley). Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie – who both produced the original in 1985- came together and organized the super group Artists for Haiti to re-record the single to help with raising funds and providing relief for Haiti. Lil Wayne probably got short reprieve as his jail sentence has been postponed to March 2nd. His Young Money label mate, Mack Maine, announced on his Twitter that Wayne’s sentence was postponed for another month.
Yahoo also reports that sentence rescheduling is due to dental work. His Defense lawyer Stacey Richman had this to say on Lil Wayne’s behalf:
“It is a medical situation that, like (it would for) any of us, has to be addressed,” she said outside court. She said the rapper had planned to take care of it before Tuesday, but his dentist had been out of the country doing charitable work.
At least that gives him more time to chop down some groupie backs before he’s locked up for real.

Last week, I reported Matthew Knowles and jump off Alexsandra Wright had a baby girl. Well it turns out, Wright had a baby boy last Thurday. She’s claiming that both she and Knowles decided on the name “Nixon” for newborn child. It is also revealed that a DNA test has yet taken to prove the paternity of the child. As you already know, the child is the result of an 18-month long affair Knowles had with Wright. Wright’s admittance of the affair triggered a domino effect of events which lead to Knowles’ wife, Tina, to file for divorce.
Wright is due in court next week for a child support hearing. However, Knowles is still requesting a paternity test before he coughs up the dough.
I don’t know about you, but if this child is indeed his, Wright and her baby are set for life pretty much.
