Michael Jai White recently sat down with IGN Movies to talk about his infamous Mortal Kombat: Rebirth Trailer Pitch and his playing as the character “Jax”. He talks about how releastic this movie short is as compared to previous films, the purpose of the trailer, when it was made, and etc. Check out the trailer and interview below.
IGN: So the trailer is a pitch to show how Kevin would want to see a Mortal Kombat made?
MJW: Absolutely, I really co-signed that vision. Which is something for me that I really wanted to see. Something I really wanted to do with the Spawn franchise as well. I think dark is the way to go. Sometimes the powers that be, they won’t get it because they’re disconnected with the consumer. And I feel like I represent the consumer. So a lot of people worked on it and we just went over what we would like to see. Like stuff that we would like to do.

On Friday Morning, the adoptive parents of Gary Coleman Sue and Willie Coleman opened up regarding the eerie phone call they received from Gary’s ex-wife Shannon Price and their thoughts on the photos she took of their son’s death bed.
Sue had this to say about the photos of Gary on his death bed:
“That was disturbing….I don’t know if that were her intentions in the beginning. I don’t know if she was taking them for her own purpose and then later decided to do the sale of them.”
Willie stated he recieved a crazy voicemail from Shannon when she returned their call a couple of days after they heard about reports that their son had passed away.
“It was the most strangest message I have heard in my life,” Willie told Meredith Vieira on The Today Show. He described the message: “‘Oh, hi, this is Shannon Price. Thank you for your inquiries… If you need more information my brother is handling the arrangements.’ She left this number for us to call her brother.”
Yesterday, a new mysterious trailer for a Mortal Kombat Movie spreaded across the web. The trailer introduced Michael Jai White as Jaxx and Jeri Ryan as Sonya Blade. Also, we are introduced to Jonny Cage, Reptile, Baraka, and Scorpion. This new re-imagined MK focuses on blood, gore, in a horror approach showcasing some one-on-one fight scenes.
According to MTV.com, Ryan have this to say on the mysterious trailer:
“Okay, so… Mortal Kombat. It’s not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film…”I did it as a favor to a friend. No idea yet what WB’s reaction to it was. And I’m not sure how you can contact WB to push them to make it. But you guys are resourceful…! ”
Personally, I see alot of potential in this trailer although it somewhat strays from the video game’s story. Hopefully this MK can be picked up for a movie release soon. What do you think?

One of the most used poplar used features on Facebook.com is the “Like” button. CNET.com reports that the Like Button “tracks” and “collects” your web page visits without even logging in through Facebook’s social plug-ins. It collects the web page address and the visitor’s internet address without even clicking on the like button.
Nicole Ozer, an attorney with the ACLU of Northern California states:
“If you put a Like button on your site, you’re potentially selling out your users’ privacy even if they never press that button….It’s another example of why user control needs to be the default in Facebook.”
Earlier this week, Facebook told CNET:
“…the information about who viewed what pages with a Like button is anonymized after three months and is not shared with or sold to third parties.”
Facebook plans on updating their current privacy policy to make it clearer and simple to understand.
